In accordance with his wish cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery  at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to Kairos Dwelling Home, c/o the funeral home.

Age 86, passed away on April 4, 2020. Clarence was born in Kalamazoo on June 23, 1933, the son of the late Clarence and Maxine (Duryea) Pio. Clarence enjoyed life. He loved his family and friends. He served in the Army for twenty-three years, during both the Vietnam and Korean Wars and was honorably discharged in 1974. He returned to Michigan and began working as a welder for Inter-Kal and retired after several years. When not working he loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. Above all things he enjoyed spending time with his family. He leaves them with many wonderful memories to cherish. He is survived by his three children, Timothy (Cindy) Pio, Mark (Steve Kitchens) Pio and Maxine Pio; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. On October 4, 1952 he married the love of his life Bettie (Roberson) Pio who preceded him in passing. He was also preceded by two sons, Darrell and Michael Pio; sisters, Catherine Middleton and Shirley Williams.
