Age 83, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022. Clint was born in Pontiac, Michigan on September 24, 1938, the son of the late James L. and Mary M. (Foley) Fleck. He attended St. Augustine Catholic School and graduate in 1956. Clint held various jobs after high school, before beginning a long career at the Upjohn Company, retiring in 1998. He held a private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. Clint also enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and working on his family farm. He was a skilled trap shooter and made his own biodiesel fuel. Clint loved spending time with family and was an avid Civil War buff, traveling to many battle sites throughout the country. On June 18, 1960, he married the former Helen R. Thorpe, who survives. Clint is also survived by his children, Amy (Steve) Snow, Elaine Fleck, Clinton, Jr. (Cyndi) Fleck, Larry (Kris) Fleck and Susan (Jeff Guy) Woodin; nine grandchildren: Mary (Adam) Acosta, Zachary (Alex VanderVeen) Snow, Maia Fleck, Lindsay Fleck, Tyler Fleck, Jonah Fleck, Emma Fleck, Grace Fleck and Jeffrey Woodin; two great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Emilia Acosta; brother, Bruce Fleck; sister, Marilyn Bloom; sisters in-law, Helen Fleck and Mary (Al) Klimaitis and many nieces and nephews and close family friends. Besides his parents, Clint was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ann Fleck; brother, Lawrence Fleck; sister in-law, Marcelline Fleck; brother in-law, Tim Bloom; nephew, Tom Fleck and niece, Linda Taché. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, Fr. Antony Rajesh celebrant. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service. Private family interment will be at Boughton Cemetery in Scotts, Michigan.
