Age 77, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away at his home on March 7, 2025. He was born in Kalamazoo on October 2, 1947, the son of the late Robert and Hellen (Badger) Buckhout. After graduating high school, Craig enlisted in the Army and served our country during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged and returned to make Southwest Michigan his home. He was kind, selfless and caring. His heart and home were always open to those in need. His faith in the Lord served as a foundation in his life and his smile and handshake will be missed at St. Andrew Community Church where he attended regularly. Above all he was a loyal caretaker to the love of his life, Frances Roe, who survives. Craig is also survived by three loving children, Jennifer Walker, Frances Nielson and Robert Holcomb. Craig was especially proud of his grandchildren, Shawn Walker Jr., Lily Handcock, Joshua Handcock Jr., and Timmy Stoken Jr. He is also survived by brothers, Ron (Daleen) Buckhout and Ken (Kathy) Buckhout; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
