Daina Melbardis

October 1, 1933 - April 11, 2023

A service in witness to Daina’s life and faith will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran United Church, 100 Cherry Hill St., Kalamazoo, with her Pastor Aija Graham officiating. A graveside service will follow at Riverside Cemetery where Daina will be laid to rest next to her husband. Memorial contributions may be given to Lativian Evangelical Lutheran United Church or Latvian Center Garazers, in c/o the funeral home.

Daina was a joy to visit with. Sitting and laughing during my visits was one of my favorite parts of my week. Wishing you peace.

I was fortunate enough to know Daina while working at Vineyard a few years ago. We enjoyed chatting and organizing her clothes while talking with her kitty, Morris. Sad to hear she is gone from the physical world, but thankful that she is resting easy.
