In accordance with his wish cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 1:00 PM (please arrive in the assembly area at 12:45 PM). Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, c/o the funeral home.

Age 75, died Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Borgess Medical Center of heart disease. He was born in Decatur, Alabama on July 26, 1946, the son of the late Claude and Maybell Lawrence. Daniel was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served three tours of duty as a Morse Interceptor. He earned several medals, including the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Meritorious Unit Citation. He was also preceded in passing by a brother, Harry Lawrence and a sister, Addie Lawrence-Kniss. Daniel is survived by his seven siblings, Margaret Lawrence-Sines, Ann Lawrence-Hatfield, Claude “Jack” Lawrence, Donald Lawrence, Bettie Lawrence, John Lawrence and George Lawrence.
