Age 77, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. David was born on April 21, 1942, in Detroit, MI, the son of Elmer Ernest and Etta Mae (Bolyard) Eley. David proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He was and avid gardener of flowers and vegetables. He worked in sales for many years before starting his own lawncare business. He was generous and kind, and was known for helping people. David is survived by his children, Christine Waters of Portage, Barbara Page of Scotts and Michael Eley of Holland; 3 grandsons; his life-time companion and partner, Beverly Moorlag of Galesburg; brother, Chuck (Barb) Eley of Carey, OH; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John Eley and Mark Eley.
