Went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2021. Delores was born in South Bend, IN, on May 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Andrew and Irene (Faltynski) Kolman. Delores was a gentle, kind and loving woman who had a passion for life. In 1952, she married the love of her life William F. Hyde who preceded her in passing on September 11, 1984. She was a person who believed in service towards others, and this was reflected in her work. She was employed by both Senior Services, and Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Delores received undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from Western Michigan University which she earned while working and raising a family; she was especially proud of earning degrees in her chosen profession. She was politicly astute and was always up to date on the latest issues and trends, loved a good “political debate” and for a time worked for the office of Congressman Howard Wolpe. She had a strong faith and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kalamazoo. Delores loved her family. She was proud of them and always took time to make special memories that they now hold onto. When not working or spending time with family, she had many hobbies to keep her busy including photography and reading. She also had a special place in her heart for her pet cats and was a true animal lover. Delores leaves to cherish her memories her children, Mark Hyde, Eric (David Azcona) Hyde, Katherine (Robert) Scobey, Mary “Candace” Roberts, Noel G. (Kim) Hyde; a grandchild, “Steph” Scobey; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends. She was also preceded in passing by a daughter, Ann Michelle Hyde; and two sisters, Elaine Millpointer and Carol Lolmaugh.
