April 13, 1940 - May 22, 2021

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Victory Baptist Church, 308 W. Milham Ave. in Portage. Visitation with family at 10 am; memorial service to follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries. A private burial service at Fort Custer National Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Mom... you were taken suddenly at a time when we were sure you would have more time with us... goodbyes are hard enough when there's enough time... to be cut short makes it heart wrenching... I miss you already more than I can express... you're the best friend I ever will have... the only true friend I ever had... if I could have saved you from this I would have... as long as I am alive your memory... your life will be alive... I am looking for answers Mom... you know I am... I love you only as a son can love his mother... you never gave up on me... I'll never give up on you... rest in peace Mom... rest in peace...

So very sorry for the loss of such a lovely amazing women as Dena. She was always so very nice to me and my family. When we went to victory church. She will be greatly missed by all. Prayers and thoughts to the ric and family.
