Age 76, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Dennis was born in Midland, Michigan on March 11, 1944, the son of the late Archibald and Genevieve (Ehrhardt) MacDonald. He was a graduate of Midland High School, class of 1963, and attended Ferris State University where he was a member of the TKE fraternity. Dennis served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969 and was stationed in Korea for part of that time. He retired from Checker Motors Corporation in 2004. Dennis was an avid University of Michigan sports fan and enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. He also enjoyed golf, bowling and riding his bicycle. Most of all, Dennis loved his family and spending time with them. On November 25, 1977, he was united in marriage to Julie F. (Burgen) MacDonald, who survives. Dennis is also survived by his children, Tyler MacDonald and Lacey (Scott) Merchant; grandchildren, Carson Vance and Elaina Merchant; brother, Randy MacDonald; sisters, Pam (Bob) Feldkamp and Marilyn (Christopher Slaughter) Kustoff and many nieces and nephews.
