Dennis E. “Wolfie” Wolf, age 76, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023. He was born March 29, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Harry M. and Theresa J. Wolf. Denny moved to Kalamazoo at age 17 and entered the US Army where he served three tours in Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart and continued his military career in the National Guard Reserves until he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. Denny had a long career, starting as an electrical journeyman in the mid 70’s, becoming an electrical engineer at the Brown Company, later James River in Parchment MI, where he worked until he retired.

Denny, always the rabble rouser and risk taker was passionate about his motorcycle and his motorcycle club, The Outriders Kalamazoo Chapter, which he was an original member of with his close friends. He was loved and respected by all his brothers in the club for the last 55 years. Denny loved traveling, whether it was bike runs or family trips across the states. Those who traveled with him knew he took the road seriously, stopping minimally for needed breaks, and often shouting out the lyrics “On the Road Again” to hurry the lingerers. His rough and tough demeanor could put anyone on alert, but friends and family knew him to be witty and fearless. He enjoyed listening to stand-up comedy and music and loved watching football, especially when betting against his brother. He never missed a good pig roast, a bonfire, or a good drink with friends.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his siblings, Raymond and Donald. He is survived by his sister, Barbara; three daughters, Angela, Kerry, and Amelia; three adult grandchildren, Jordan, Alexis, and Mark; three younger grandsons; as well as five great grandchildren. He spent his later years in the companionship of Audrey Pumfrey.
