Age 81, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo. Deronda was born in Senath, MO, on November 30, 1939, the daughter of the late Arvile B and Ann (McIntyre) Scott. Sue loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports of all kinds. She rarely missed an activity or event. She could cook up a mean meal with some southern charm for all to enjoy. She was passionate about her family and extended family. She always made sure we celebrated the holidays together and especially birthdays, which always ended up with a birthday song. No matter what your age. She was always giving and willing to help others. She was a Lions football fan and cheered for the Tigers. She also enjoyed watching movies whether at home or at the theater having popcorn and caramel mocha frappes. Deronda is survived by her five children, Duane A. Dunbar, Jr. (Tina) of Mooresville, NC, Scott Dunbar (Kim) of Mattawan, John E. Dunbar (Brenna) of Warner Robins, GA, Barbara L. Kuehl (Bob) of Kalamazoo, Michael D. Dunbar of Mattawan; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, George W. Scott, and James Scott; several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Daneilla and Arville Mack Scott.
