Born in Siberia, Russia—a heritage of which he was always proud—Dmitry was adopted into the loving family of Gregg and Jen Taylor and raised alongside his siblings, Noah and Elena. He was great with kids and adored playing with animals, most especially his dog Jake. He had a heart for vulnerable people, empathized with the unfortunate, and often gave away his possessions to help those in need. Although Dmitry had a hard and troubled life, he was the object of his parents’ unceasing affection and unconditional love. Through his trials he was used by God to teach the entire Taylor family how to trust God’s wisdom and rest in God’s grace.
Dmitry is survived by his parents, Gregg and Jen Taylor; his siblings, Noah (Kelsey) and Elena Taylor; his aunt, Cheryl Day; grandparents Don and Judy Blancett and Tom and Marilue Taylor; and fiancée Miranda Roberts. He was preceded in death by his grandfather John Day, with whom he had a special connection. He will be missed by his family, loved ones, church community, and all who knew him. Dmitry’s life, in all its complexity, was held in God’s hands, and though his passing was unexpected, we hold tightly to the hope found in Christ.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39
