Altho we didn't know Don too long, we soon came to realize that he was one of the most caring, giving guy that we have known in a long time. Last January, Don married us on a day which he should have been home resting but noooo, not Don. When he made a commitment, he kept it. He made frequent calls after the wedding just to make sure all was well paying little regard to how he was feeling. That's just the kind of guy he was. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family Tim and Theresa Allen

Thank you for caring about me and being a spiritual part of my family. I shall miss our talks about history, and just listening to your stories. To his family, you are all in my thoughts during this time. My mom wants me to say that you are all in her prayers and that she is very sorry for your loss. Much Love to you all from us both.

Love and hugs for My Aunt Lou and cousins; Melissa, Kim, and Cassandra. I’m so sorry I couldn’t make it today and be there for you all. You and my Uncle Dewey are in my thoughts and prayers today. I’ll always remember that big goof ball and how he was always so happy to pick at us lovingly when he got a chance to see us. He was such a kind-hearted man. I am so thankful for him and that he married Skyler and I. Then the next year or so he gave me a call to tell me he was working on a video of our wedding. He was always so thoughtful. That was one of the best memories I have of him and will never forget it. I remember how he asked us if we were going to make him shave off his well-earned beard and mustache for our wedding. But of course I said no because I liked him just the way he was. Some of his words of advice to Skyler for our marriage was “Always agree with your wife. Say yes ma’am and move on.” It seems to work great for him. :-D. I will always remember my Uncle Dewey as a kind-hearted and goofy man. Thanks for the memories and may he rest in peace.
