Donald, I loved your friendship from the first minute we met nearly 45 years ago. Your warm smile and welcoming nature made me feel as if all was going to be okay as I came to terms with myself as an 18 year old gay male. Throw in on top of that the fun times we had at Jacobson’s and so many years after, and I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am to have had you as a close friend. So sorry to hear that Don has passed. I will always have fond memories of him in high school and all the crazy times riding around in his car. He was fun to be with and could always put a smile on your face. I hadn't seen him since his brother Dennis passed but we kept in touch on Facebook.
