A time of visitation will take place at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Friday, October 5, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Entombment will be at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park – South. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Age 81, passed away at home on Monday, October 1, 2018. Don was born in Kalamazoo on February 16, 1937, the son of the late Ben and Katherine (McNees) East. He was a Free Mason and long-time member of the Paw Paw Masonic Lodge. Don was also a tool maker and retired from GM after 34 ½ years of employment. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Diane C. East; children, Todd East, Jodi (John) Milne, Dawn (Walt) Kent, Kyle (Jenn) Root, Kurtis Root and Kris (Shawn) Root; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin East; sisters, Gladys Wise and Bernice Allen and brothers, Robert and Walter East.
