April 17, 1937 - November 21, 2018

A memorial service to celebrate Don’s life will take place at First Free Will Baptist Church, 620 Moline St., Kalamazoo, MI 49048, on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018 at 12 o’clock noon. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

I remember Uncle Don and Aunt Jeanette coming to our house for a Charlier family Christmas gathering. He had such a laugh! We were in the kitchen that night and I slipped in a small spill on the floor and he caught me right before I smashed my head on the counter corner! My little brother walked in, told us not to dance in the kitchen, and walked out. Uncle Don and I looked at each other and started laughing uncontrollably because of the look on my brothers face. He was just so serious about it. Seems like every time we stopped laughing it would just bubble up again. That is one of my favorite memories of Uncle Don. I am praying for peaceful hearts for Aunt Jeanette, his family, and friend's. May God bless you all. I'm so sorry for your loss.

All my love & prayers go out to Jeanette & family. Don was a good friend & will surely be missed by a lot of people. I remember all the fun tournaments & nights at the bowling alley.
