On September 14, 2024, a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at GreenSky Hill Indian United Methodist Church, 8484 Green Sky Hill, Charlevoix, , MI will take place in honor of Doreen A. Wilson. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a burial on church grounds for all who would like to attend. At 12:00 p.m. noon a luncheon will be provided in celebration of Doreen's life. Memorial contributions may be made to Greensky Hill Indian Methodist Church or Centrica Care Navigators in c/o the funeral home.

Age 83, passed away late Thursday night, August 1, 2024. Doreen was born in Petoskey, MI on December 1, 1940, the daughter of Daugherty and Dorothy (Willis) Johnson Sr. Doreen was a graduate of Alanson High School, class of 1958. She worked for many years for Kalamazoo County Juvenile Court and retired in 2000. She then relocated to Eastport, MI, in 2012. She was a member of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians and a life-long member of Greensky Hill Indian Methodist Church. Doreen is survived by her children, Stacey (Tom) Miller of Reston, VA, Ronald (Rebecca) Wilson of Milford, MI, Laurie (Scott) Moore of Mattawan, MI; grandchildren, Nate (Claire) Miller, Katie (Mike) Bollino, Mitch (Lauren) Miller, Gabriel (Ashley) Wilson, Lydia Wilson, Chaney Moore, Shaffer Moore, Wilson Moore; great-grandchildren, Alida, Emerson, Ezekiel, Elijah, Maeve; sisters, Leela Harrison of Florida, Bonita Crowe of Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Doreen was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marilyn Williams, Jacqulyn Richmond; brother, Daugherty Johnson, Jr.
