Age 92.  Doris passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018.  She was born on July 8, 1925, daughter of the late Edison Marsh and Ann (Heidenus) Marsh.  Doris was a trailblazer of sorts:  After working many years as a waitress at Western Michigan University, she went back to school and obtained her nursing degree at the age of 44.  Subsequent to earning her degree, she worked for many years at Borgess Medical Center prior to retirement.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Buddemeier, whom she married on December 19, 1952,  her grandson, Robert Joseph Buddemeier, as well as her parents and a son-in-law, Joseph White.  She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Ronald (Susana) Buddemeier of Victoria, Texas, Bruce Buddemeier of Allegan, Michigan, and Robyn White of Portage, Michigan.  Also surviving are her 6 beloved grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as her brother, Gerard Marsh of Kalamazoo, Michigan.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with Doris’ funeral expenses, c/o the funeral home.
