A service in witness to Eldon’s life and faith will be held on a date and time to be announced soon at Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 S. Westnedge; Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be given to Paw Paw-Lawton Masonic Lodge #25 or Trinity Lutheran Church, in c/o the funeral home.

Age 88, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 7, 2022. Eldon was born in Kalamazoo, on August 22, 1934, the son of Elton and Agnes (Hansen) Wallace. On June 16, 1956, he married Sandra “Sandy” Lambert who survives him. They had been married for 66 years. Eldon proudly served his nation in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Eldon was an avid woodworker. He was a firefighter for the City of Kalamazoo for many years. He loved his family, especially the grand and great-grandbabies. Besides his wife, Eldon is survived by his children, Daniel E. (Gail) Wallace of Huntersville, NC, Alan E. (Aurora) Wallace of Paw Paw, Cynthia (Larry) Brownell of Kalamazoo, Susan (Larry) Bontrager of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Andrew (Leila) Wallace, Cory (Roxy) Wallace, Taylor (Mary Katherine) Wallace, Jesi (Casey) Wallace, Karly (Jesse Cashen) Wallace, Michael (Jen) Brownell, Melissa Brownell, Madison (Milton) Buford, Grant Kubiak, Kennedy Kubiak; step-grandchildren, Chris McSweeney, TJ McSweeney, Larry Brownell III; great-grandchildren, Leo, Miles, Isleigh, Wyatt, Harlow, Quinn, Wilder, Tommy, Theo and Claire; brother, William (Merry) Wallace; sister-in-law, Elaine Wallace; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Dennis, Jack and Rex, his mother-in-law, Patrilla Martz.
