A service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 S. Westnedge at Cedar. Pastor Ken Johnson and Pastor Jake Lehman officiating, with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St. Interment will be at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes, and Trinity Lutheran Church, c/o the funeral home.

Elizabeth “Liz” Rose Menck, age 92; passed away early Friday morning, July 15, 2022, at her home. Liz was born in Kalamazoo, on January 17, 1930. The daughter of the late Stephen & Ella (Seiser) Miller. She was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Martha Circle, WELCA, served for 35 years as a church luncheon coordinator, and numerous years of involvement and enjoyment with the Quilters; until her passing. Liz was employed by the Michigan Department of Transportation for 15 years, retiring in 1977. She married Richard A. Menck, on October 14,1950. Richard preceded her in death on August 16, 2001. She was preceded in death by brothers: Stephen, Theodore, George Miller, and sisters Frances Dam, and Anne McCarty. Liz is survived by her children, Bruce (Victoria) Menck of Angola, IN, and Carol (Dwayne McTaggart) Skowronski of Marshall. Also, surviving are her four grandchildren: Lori (Joseph) Krouse, Lisa (Robert) Shock, Erick Skowronski, and Andrew (Emily Ockerman) Skowronski, and seven great-grandchildren. As well as, sister-in-law Judy Miller, brother-in-law Ralph McCarty, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends at Trinity Lutheran.
