Age 91, went to be with the Lord on Thursday afternoon, April 27, 2023. Elsie was born in Hoopeston, IL on July 3, 1931, the daughter of Letcher and Alice Bennett. On July 18, 1953, she married Robert A. Ricks who preceded her in death in 2013. Elsie enjoyed cooking and gardening. Earlier in her life she enjoyed needlework. She was an avid reader. She especially liked reading the works of Glady Taver and Phillip W. Keller. Elsie was a devoted Christian and was a member of Texas Corners Bible Church. Elsie is survived by her children, Philip R. Ricks, Roberta Raflik; grandchildren, Joshua and Shannon; brother, Bob (Karen) Bennett; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Glen, Arvin,and Harold.
