A funeral service will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Friday, August 26, 2016 beginning at 12:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on the same day from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park – South.

Age 98, passed away at her son’s home on Thursday, August 18, 2016. Florence was born in Allegan, Michigan on August 15, 1918, the daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Ream) Warfield. She was a 1936 graduate of Otsego High School. Florence was a member of Schoolcraft United Methodist Church, a past officer of VFW Post #5855 Auxiliary and a past officer of I.O.O.F. Florence retired from Beach Products in 1998 after 54 years of service. Before her eyesight diminished, she enjoyed reading, knitting and bowling. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Wicks on June 7, 1959; a son, George; and siblings, Harold Warfield, Bernard Warfield, Elaine Shilling, Mary Luscomb, Carolyn Curtiss, Loren Warfield and Virginia Bell. Surviving are two children, Richard (Judi) Wicks and Thomas (Colleen) Wicks; a daughter in-law, Wanda (Frank) Hammond; ex-daughter in-law, Robin (Gary) Strunk; grandchildren, George Wicks II, Raymond Wicks, Denise (Kevin Smith) Wicks, Richard II (Beck) Wicks, Jonathan (Sarah) Wicks, Bradly (Shanen) Hammond, Teaka (Edward II) Springer, Melanie Wicks, Melinda (Christopher Lenz) Wicks, Josh (Monika) Wicks, Joshua (Anna) Canfield and Jason Wicks; 16 great-grandchildren; sister in-law, Jean Warfield and many nieces and nephews.
