Frans will be laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Those wishing to attend are asked to arrive to the cortege area no later than 9:45 a.m.

I met Dutch shortly after we bought our condo in South Haven a few doors down from his and soon discovered that he was from the same region in the Netherlands as my mother's family. I always enjoyed our conversations about boating, the "old country", his life's work and a good Dutch joke now and then. My condolences to the family.
