Age 88, passed away peacefully in Eaton Rapids, on February 24, 2020. Frederick was born in Buffalo, NY, on October 31, 1931, the son of the late Frederick and Julia (Scherer) Paufler. During his lifetime he also lived in Grand Rapids, MI, and Palmetto, FL. Frederick loved spending time on and near the water. He was a hard worker who could fix nearly anything, and was employed for several years by Amway. Frederick was creative, and inventive. He was always looking for new ways to accomplish things. He made friends easily, and always loved to tell stories of his youth and past. He loved his family and he always did his best to be there and provide for them. Frederick leaves to cherish his memory 3 children, Julie Metts, Charles (Henri) Paufler, and Karen (Mike) McKinstry; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Roger (Mary) Paufler and Dennis Paufler. He was preceded in passing by a son, Phillip Paufler.
