Age 69, passed away on January 30, 2024, at Bronson Hospital. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on December 10, 1954, the son of the late Orval and Julia (Homoki) Rich. Gary was kind, loving and generous. He had an outgoing and social personality which made him a joy to know. He loved meeting new people, was always up on current affairs and could often be found around the table at Ted and Marie’s debating a hot topic with friends. He was an avid Detroit Sports fan and Sundays were spent cheering on the Lions and summers were filled cheering on the Tigers. Above all Gary loved his family. He was extremely proud of his children and was especially excited to have his first grandchild. Gary’s smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by two children, Leslie (Jake) Plaunt and Travis Rich; grandson, Jacob Plaunt; siblings, Linda (Jim) Ringler, Larry (Barb) Rich, Julene (Tom) Burlington, Duane (Kim) Rich, Shirleen (Norbert) Russell and several nieces and nephews.
