A funeral service will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Friday, May 11, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Wenke officiating. Private interment will occur at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, c/o the funeral home.

Deepest Sympathy, l was sorry to hear of Gene's passing. Your family was a good memory from my youth years. I loved both of your parents. May God bring you comfort, peace and strength as you go through this difficult time. Rejoicing that he is in heaven with no more pain and suffering.

I have wonderful memories of Gene dating back to Muncie Cental High School and with Imogene back to when she was a student at Ball State. Gene sang at the wedding of my wife and I in Indianapolis June 17 1955. What a beautiful Christian (in the truest sense of the word) couple. I look forward to seeing them in heaven.

I really enjoyed getting to know Gene as we spent time together. He told me many stories about his life from childhood to present day. They were always fun to hear. I will miss Gene. My prayers are with his family and friends to find comfort in knowing that he is joyfully sitting at Jesus' feet.

My deepest sympathies to Gene's family. I have so many memories of Mr. Schuck, from the time I was a music student in elementary school, to the many days I spent with the family. He, and the entire family, were always so kind and welcoming.

I remember Mr. Shuck well. Oakwood Junior High. Always smiling, loved his music. I'm sure he was a good influence on me! And , not to forget, the bow tie that was in evidence daily! He lives on in my memory!
