George Quinn age 83, died at Bickford Assisted Living in Portage on April 2, 2023. George, the son of Timothy and Jessie Quinn, was born in Caro, Michigan. After graduating from high school in 1958, he served two years in the United States Navy. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Michigan State University. He spent his career working in various positions in the hotel and food service industry in New York City, Phoenix, Arizona, and Los Angeles, San Jose, San Diego and Santa Barbara, California. George is survived by his daughters, Carrie Quinn (Sang Yi), Elizabeth Quinn Bortoletto (Anderson) ; grandchildren, Adeline and William; his brothers, Timothy (Linda), James (Kristen Anderson) and William (Mary) and sister, Ann Paulson (William Pierce), ten nieces and nephews; his lifelong friend, George Savage.
