Burial Date June 21, 2019

George will be laid to rest on Friday, June 21, 2019, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, beginning at 10:30 AM (please arrive at the assembly area by 10:15AM), followed by a gathering to commemorate his life from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Gull Prairie Apartments Club House, 4350 Gull Prairie Dr. Kalamazoo, MI 49048. Memorial contributions may be made to Kairos Dwelling, c/o the funeral home.

May God Bless George and his family during this difficult time. I will always remember George's smiling face (it will live on in my spice rack). I would love to listen to his stories about his family, the war, his careers, his band G. Willie & the Country Gentleman and all of his gut-busting jokes. We had so much fun at his 80th Birthday party when Susan and I were "set-up" to roast him - Ha! I met George when I was looking for somewhere to live that would allow a big dog (Jack). What I found was a life-long friend. I will miss him dearly.

I\'m so sorry to hear of your loss. I also lost my dad on January 16th and he will also be buried at the Fort. I Still have good memories of staying at your house often thru the years. I can still remember your dad out in the back yard doing cart wheels with Laura and I. *He was pretty good! Miss not seeing any of you. Hope all is well. Take care and ...Live on thru your dad.

My sincere condolences to George’s family. It is always hard losing a loved one, especially a parent. Even if we are expecting it because of age or illness, it always comes as a shock. I hope all of you will have love and good times to remember.
