A funeral mass to honor her life will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St. Kalamazoo, MI 49001, with Msgr. Michael Hazard officiating. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St. Kalamazoo, MI 49001, prior to the mass. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery following the mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ortiz family (checks payable to Salvador Ortiz) c/o the funeral home.

Age 26, passed away on September 21, 2022, at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born in New York, NY, the daughter of Salvador and Cirenia (Isidoro) Ortiz. She is also survived by two siblings, Jessica Isidoro and Alex Isidoro Bravo; many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Ghyovahana was a kind and caring young woman who’s smile would light up the room. She was dedicated to her family and she was always willing to help those in need. She attended Loy Norrix High School and had a passion for music. Ghyovahana’s kind spirit and laughter will be missed by all who loved her.
