Age 85, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Gloria was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on September 15, 1937, the daughter of the late Geraldo Cordero and Angelina Arroyo. On May 24, 1959, she married Christian J. Miller, who preceded her in death on August 5, 2010. Gloria is survived by her son, Thomas C. (Landy) Miller; grandchildren, Nathan Miller, Amber (Dillon) Asher and Bryan Hendley; four great-grandchildren, Haven, Mia, Kaylee and Ryker; sister, Carmen Medina; nieces, Myrta, Ellen, Gladys and Denise; nephews, Jimmy and Ray and several in-laws. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rita and Petrin; two brothers, Georgie and Basilo and great-granddaughters, Mariana and Adriana. A visitation will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place at Crossroads Village Senior Apartments, 6600 Constitution Blvd., Portage, MI 49024 on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 4:00 PM. Gloria will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Henderson, North Carolina. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
