A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, beginning at 10:30 a.m., at Lakeland Reformed Church, 10442 S. Sprinkle Rd., Vicksburg, MI 49097; Pastor Kent Sanders officiating. Memorial contributions in Gordon’s memory may be made to Lakeland Reformed Church or a charity of one’s choice.

Our condolences to the family of Gordon Hoeksema. We knew Gordy for 29 of the 39 years while at Alvan and found him not only as a hard worker in city delivery but also as a over the road driver Most of all he was a friend to all of us who were associated with him. May Gordy RIP. Jim & Lois Madsen

We are so sorry for the passing of your dad and our dear friend. Now your mom and dad are both back together. All the fun times we use to have together with them. In Mi and FL. We miss them both so much. Rest in peace.
