October 30, 1957 - November 7, 2023

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering to celebrate Greg’s life will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at First Reformed Church of Portage, 7905 South Westnedge Ave., Portage, MI 49002. Interment will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park – South at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association, the Azheimer’s Assocation-Michigan Great Lakes Chapter or a charity of one’s choice.

I have lost a bright spot in my life. Every topic from bee-keeping to Michigan bamboo...Greg had some insight. Was always a delight to hear about the world as Greg saw it. I went to his house to visit a few times....and I remember the books....hundreds and hundreds of books. I still strongly suspect he had memorized every page of every book. Greg was one of the wittiest, smartest, most humble and under acknowledged people I ever had the immense joy to know. He was a gem in so many ways. Peace to you brother. We weren't close, but I hope he can understand how admired and liked he was in my world.
