Age 72, passed away at home on Saturday, November 4, 2017, after a 30-year battle with breast cancer. Guyla was born in Kalamazoo on June 19, 1945, the daughter of the late Wesley and Rozella (Prehn) Kolb. She was a graduate of Loy Norrix High School. Guyla enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, scary movies (especially with popcorn with tons of butter) and sweets. She also loved to let everyone know how much her family meant to her and how proud she was of them. In addition to her parents, Guyla was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Benjamin Bowden; son, Brett (Julie) Bowden; daughter, Lisa (Don) Chapman; grandchildren, Zach, Ben and Tayler; as well siblings, Wesley (Merlene) Kolb, Joann Haverkamp, Mary Potts and Linda Merrian. “We all love you so much, mom, but we know you are in a better place.
