Age 85, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 after a long battle with dementia. HalRay was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on April 30, 1938, the son of the late Gerald “Dale” and Marie M. (Zantjer) Harrington. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1959 and served his country honorably until his discharge in 1963. On August 10, 1962, HalRay married the former Bette Kay Harrington, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dalmar Harrington. HalRay was self-employed as a machinist and also worked for the Upjohn Company. He enjoyed making and flying model airplanes and was a member of the Thunderbird R-C Club. HalRay also enjoyed wildlife, watching and feeding the birds and deer and going for walks with his dog. No services will be held. Memorial contributions in his memory may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
