A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home; Pastor Larry Brelje will officiate. Interment will take place at Comstock Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Age 91, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 4, 2017 with her family by her side. Helen was born in Luverne, Alabama on December 13, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles and Otha (Thomas) Wyrosdick. On April 4, 1946, she married Alvin T. Whitby who preceded her in death on May 26, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tom Whitby and grandsons, Mark Huntington and Chris Whitby. Helen is survived by her children, Helen, Lou (Steve) Nehls, JoAnn (Andy) Holt, Jean (Clayton) Felthoff, Tim (Sylvia) Whitby, Ted (Tracy) Whitby, Alvin Whitby, Jr. and Sue Ritter; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister in-law, Ethel Green and many nieces and nephews.
