June 14, 1941 - February 8, 2020

A memorial service will be held at Grace CRC, 1724 Whites Rd., Kalamazoo, on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Greg Timmer officiating. A time of visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment with full military honors will be at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bible League, Grace CRC Memorial Fund or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.

Sending thoughts of comfort and love to dear Henry’s family, especially wife Gert and daughter Amy. Your father’s friendship with my father was truly a gift in my dad’s life, as well as mine! I have to say my dad’s garage never got as spotless as Henry’s, but we so enjoyed our visits there where dad & Henry could yuck it up like brothers & their genuine love & affection for each other could shine ... forever grateful to a dear man’s gift of friendship to my father, and picturing the two of them together on some cloud up there looking for a broken thing to fix or a dog to walk & love ... my thoughts and prayers are with you all ...
