I am sad to hear about Howard's passing as he has been a generous man, a nice guy to be with and an important participant in the course of my own life. I had the opportunity to meet him and his wife Dee again (after being their exchange program student from Germany in Sturgis in 1979) in 2017 as I came from Germany to a visit in the US. I am deeply thankful for his efforts to bring people together and give me the chance to learn and discover the country he loved. Since then my bonds to the United States persist. Thanks Howard for all you have done and initiated for me and other people. My feelings are with his wife Dee now who loses the "love of her life" and his family, Darcey, Jerry and Blake. God bless all of you!

Our Mother Mary Steffler is with Amberway Friends along with Delores and we have rubbed elbows with Howard at various events there and at Wyndham also when she was still there. What a great guy Howard was and he surely wore a path between both places visiting and passing messages. Our family extends our deepest sympathies to yours. May God Bless Howard. We will miss Howard very much. My husband, David Arnold, visited Howard frequently, a friend from the church. My mom, Dotty Hook, lives at Amber Way and lived down the hall from Dee. It has been hard to visit residents during COVID. Our hearts go out to the family. With heart-felt sympathy, David and Wendy Arnold
