Age 85, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020. Ida was born March 23, 1934 in Lake County, MI, the daughter of Orval and Orletta (Hatch) Hunt. On June 28, 1952, she was married to Charles Steven Pearce, who preceded her death. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards with friends. Her grandchildren loved playing board games with her. She loved animals and had memories of a special cat. She also had special memories of a trip she took with Charlie to the Canada, Alaska and the Yukon. Ida is survived by her children, Steven (Shari) Pearce of Galesburg, and Catherine (Martin) Born of Galesburg; grandchildren, Travis (Lindsey) Born, Chelsea (Aaron) Grogg, Jon (Heather) Born, Ian (Brittney) Pearce, Katlyn (Grant) Dunithan, Lindsay (David) Fischer; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister in law, Shirley Hunt; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece and nephew, Linda and Bill Boysen;and special friends, Cay and Nancy. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael John Pearce; a brother, Orval Hunt Jr.; and a sister Arla Harrington.
