Ivan Lee Adams went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2022. He was born on October 22, 1973, to Gloria Dean Adams in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. Ivan was raised in Benton Harbor, Michigan and Kalamazoo, Michigan by Jeraleane Johnson. In 1993, he welcomed his only child, daughter, Alyssa Lee Adams. Ivan attended Western Michigan University where he studied psychology. Some activities Ivan enjoyed were listening to music and playing basketball.

He was preceded in death by Jeraleane Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Lee Adams and siblings, Johnny Young, Edward Andrew Adams (Emeshia), Angela Denice Adams and James Quince Adams and several nieces and nephews. There will be a private celebration of his life at a later date.
