Age 80, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 3, 2023, with his family at his side. Jack was born in Kalamazoo, on May 20, 1942, the son of Leslie Elwood and Lucille (Kennedy) Penny. On August 26, 1961, he married Sharon Roberts who preceded him in death in 2009. Jack was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed golfing. His daughters have fond memories of going camping as a family. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Jack is survived by his daughters, Jackie (Keith) Hovious of Portage, and Julie Foust of Richland; grandchildren, Korey Hovious, Paul Foust, Kelly (Mark) McLeod, Kevin (Ariel) Foust; great-grandson, Aidan McLeod; sister, Mary Moore; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides his wife, Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bill Penny.
