A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1150 W. Centre Ave. Portage, MI 49024, with Fr. Mark Vyverman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 5855, c/o the funeral home.

Age 63, passed away at Bronson Hospital on Monday, November 11, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born in Chicago, IL on April 5, 1956, the son of the late John and Evelyn (Hill) Taylor. Jack grew up in Chicago and it would always hold a special place in his heart. It was there that he gained a love for the Chicago Cubs and a passion for pizza. On October 23, 1976, he married the love of his life, Cynthia Taylor, who survives. They later moved to Portage and opened Chicago Style Pizza which has been serving our community for over forty years. Jack loved his community and was always up to date on current affairs. He enjoyed following the stock market and was a strong supporter of our veterans. He also enjoyed playing chess and other board games with family and friends. Above all Jack loved his family and leaves them with many wonderful memories to cherish. His warm smile and laughter will be missed by all who loved him. He is also survived by three daughters, Jennifer (Dustin Hakala) Taylor, Jessica (Myles) Maxim and Kaitlynn (Daniel Durante) Taylor; a sister, Kimberly Taylor-Breen; half-brother, Jayson Taylor; nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in passing by two siblings, Janet Jackson and Scott Taylor.
