Age 90, passed peacefully into our Father’s arms on September 20, 2016. Jackie was born on June 13, 1926 in Muskegon, the last of five children to the late George and Ina (Richards) Cady. She attended Muskegon Schools and at the onset of WWII she met and married Richard Thomas. Together the raised four children and spent most of their life in the Muskegon area. Jackie was well loved by many because of her sweet nature and her willingness and desire to help those in her “circle of family.” She would put aside her personal needs to assist others with anything, for any amount of time. Jackie loved family gatherings, especially reunions and holiday get-togethers. Baking for the holidays and sending care packages were a special joy for her. Her life’s ambition was to make others happy; lending a helping hand with a smile and never turning down a request for help. She was a gentle soul who respected others and had a forgiving heart. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband; son, David; son in-law, Drew Pattullo; brother, Don; sisters, Betty; a niece and a nephew. She leaves behind to cherish her memory three children, Cheryl Burzenski, Paul Thomas and Susan Thomas; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Matthews and several nieces and nephews and a multitude of dear friends, many of whom called her “Mom”. May she be at peace in the house of the Lord.
