Age 58, passed away Tuesday morning, January 14, 2020. Jalayne was born in Muskegon, MI, on June 27, 1961, the daughter of Gerald and Dixie (Pulsifer) McDonnell. She loved to sew. She enjoyed making things for her grandchildren to wear. She was a caretaker and always put others before herself. Jalayne was not confrontational and always got along with others. But she was a fighter with her disease and was determined to beat it. In 2018, she was able to meet her bone marrow donor and it gave her great joy to be able to do that. Family was everything to her. Family gatherings were highlights on her calendar and after her parents passed away, she was the glue that held the family together. There was nothing more important to her than her grandchildren. Jalayne is survived by her daughters, Brandy (James) Bagley of Battle Creek and Tricia (Curtis) Kelly of Plainwell; 4 grandchildren, Austin and Parker Bagley, Keegan McClelland, Chandleir Bagley; a soon to arrive grandchild; brothers, Rick McDonnell of Muskegon, Kevin (Janna) McDonnell of Middleville, Scott (Joy) McDonnell of Florida, Jeff (Dena) McDonnell of Muskegon; nieces, Daughn, Izzy, Katie; nephew, Caleb; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Julian McDonnell.
