In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A committal service with military honors will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Those attending are asked to arrive to the cortege area at Ft. Custer prior to the committal time.

Age 65, passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital on January 22, 2017. He was born in Kalamazoo on January 31, 1951; the son of Glavis L. and Charlotte V. (Whitney) Goff. He was an avid fisherman and loved being on the lake. Jim served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He also enjoyed spending time in Naples, Florida. Jim was preceded in death by his father and brothers John “Sunny” Goff and Mike Goff. He is survived by his children, Darcy (Chad) Matties, Lisa Goff and Trevor (Gina) Goff; six grandchildren; mother, sister, Sharon Crowe and brothers, Sam, Bob and Tom Goff.
