Age 72, went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2022. He was born in Walnut Ridge, AR, the son of the late James P. and Violet (Smith) Birmingham. James had a strong faith in the Lord which was the foundation for his character. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. James believed in hard work and honesty and always did his best to provide a happy home where all were made to feel welcome. He was a gifted carpenter who owned his own construction business for more than twenty years working alongside his son Jim. When not working he enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, fishing, target shooting and working in his garden. He also enjoyed his weekly game of pool with his brother Dave after a meal out to Chinese food. James’s kind smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew and loved him. On October 5, 1974, he married the love of his life, Annettie “Marie” Birmingham who survives. He is also survived by two children, Eunice (Brian) Shive and Jim (Amber) Birmingham; six grandchildren, Suzanne (Corey) McMeekan, Steven (Anastasia Melvin) Murray, Jeffery Shive, Blake Zimmerman, Samson Zimmerman, Joy Birmingham; two great-grandchildren, T.J. and Lyanna; brother, Dave (Evelyn) Shabeeb; many nieces, nephews and friends.
