Age 72, passed away Monday December 20, 2021. Janet was born in Illinois on March 14, 1949, the daughter of Samuel Earl and Mildred Fay (Burns) Finchum.  Due to illnesses of all available caregivers, Janet took up residence at the V.F.W. National Home for Children, Eaton Rapids, MI, where she lived until graduating high school.  She attended college at Western Michigan University for a time.  She worked for 15 years at Mr. Presidents’ Lounge in Kalamazoo, five years at Red Lobster, and several years at Builders Square. After a series of illnesses, she moved in with friends.  Janet is survived by her sisters, Alice Arenberg of Los Angeles, CA, and Diana Parioch of Sun City, AZ; and many friends, including Donna and Jerry Wilinski, of Kalamazoo, MI, with whom she made her final home. She loved cats and children, and enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, home improvement, and sewing.
