Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the Barn Theater in Augusta, MI or to charities of one’s choice.

Age 81, passed away at her granddaughter’s home surrounded by family after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 14, 1937 in Battle Creek, MI, the daughter of the late Darrell and Elva (Markle) Reed. Jan graduated from Battle Creek Lakeview High School in 1956 and attended Florida State University. She married Clare L. Bagnall in 1957. They had four children: Carol Ann, Cheryl, David, and Dennis. Later divorced, she married Harry Tadman in 1977. For many years Jan worked at Clark Equipment Company as an office manager; after she retired, she and Harry Tadman moved to Lady Lake, FL. In her middle and later years she enjoyed a long-running circle of friends both in Michigan and Florida informally called “The Liars’ Club.” Throughout her adult life, her activities included reading, dancing, going to plays at the Barn Theatre, managing estate sales, and antiquing/ junque-ing. She and Harry especially enjoyed visiting Andros Island in the Bahamas, and celebrations with friends and family.  She is preceded in death by her husband Harry Tadman and former husband Clare Bagnall; her brothers Jerry and Darrell Reed; two sons, Dennis and David Bagnall; and her step-son Michael Tadman. She is survived by three siblings, Garry Reed, Darrellyn (William) Hurlbut, and Sandra (Toby) Phillip; her cousin Donna Kay (Dennis) Andrew; two daughters, Carol Ann (David) Craun and Cheryl (Phil) Egan; grandchildren, Janice (Karl) Swager, Gabrielle (Jake) France, Teresa (Brian) Thomas, Claire (Jake) Grimm, and Sarah Egan; step-grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, and Tyler Tadman and Samantha (David) Chambers; and seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
