Age 71, passed away on Sunday morning, October 27, 2019. Jan was born on March 9, 1948, in Benton Harbor, MI, the daughter of Jack and Dorothy (Hewitt) Fluga. On May 31, 1994, she married Gordon Cherneski, who survives her. She was a well-known real estate agent in the area for many years. Jan was very musical. She played many instruments and sang with the Sweet Adelines in both Sault Ste. Marie and Kalamazoo. She was an avid quilter and seamstress. Her grandchildren all have Halloween outfits and other items made by her. Jan also enjoyed attending the many art fairs in our area. Besides her husband Jan is survived by her children, Stacie (Damian) Harris of Richland, Kris Knight of Richland, Amy Van Luven of Lynnhaven, FL; grandchildren, Mat Knight, Allison Knight, Clayton Kryszak, Cole Kryszak, and Avery Kryszak; brothers Don Fluga and Mark (Wendy) Fluga. She was preceded in death by her parents.
