A service in witness to Janice’s life and faith will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at North Park Reformed Church, 1316 Barney Rd., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon.  Private interment at West Cooper Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to North Park Reformed Church, c/o the funeral home.

Age 82, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 5, 2022. Janice was born in Kalamazoo, on October 11, 1939, the daughter of Gilles and Ida (Storteboom) Loedeman.  On April 7, 1961, she married Gene Dyksterhouse who survives her. She was a member of North Park Reformed Church where she served as financial secretary for 40 years, and sang in the choir. She worked at Mall City Mechanical for 13 years as Office Manager. Janice also volunteered at Family and Children’s Services for many years. She was an avid baker. Everyone liked her cookies. She also enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, reading and puzzle books. She and Gene enjoyed traveling together on bus tours and cruises, often with friends and other groups. Besides her husband she is survived by daughters, Carla (Ken) Circo of Riverside, IL, and Cathy (Keith) Finkel of Otsego, MI; grandchildren, Amberly McCormack, Joshua McCormack, Nicholas Circo, Jillian Circo; siblings, Gerald (Lana) Loedeman, and Judy (Jim) Phillips; sister-in-law, Denise Houseman; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Loedeman and Stanley Loedeman.
