November 12, 1919 - July 5, 2020

Janis’ ashes will be interred next to his beloved Valentina at Riverside Cemetery where a private family committal service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Latvian Evangelical Lutheran United Church.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Dr.Pone was our family doctor for many years and he was the best. I always found him so interesting ( and yes hard to understand at times) but I had no idea how amazing his life was before coming to Plainwell. What an honor to be watched over by such a great man. Thank you for sharing him with his patients.

To all of Dr. Pone's family and friends please accept my deepest sympathy. He obviously approached his medical practice like he approached life, with care, kindness and integrity. He was an exceptional physician and surgeon. He will be missed.

Dr Pone was the best doctor I ever had. He delivered 3 of my children and got me thru several surgeries. Best Doctor ever.

God Bless Dr. Pone You were the most precious Dr. I ever had. You brought my two children into the world and was there for me and my family when ever we needed you. You were the greatest Dr. ever. Rest in Peace.
